Last year when I encountered skulls and skeletons in the shops, both inexpensive and high end, I found them rather morbid.  This year, however, I am beginning to catch on to the Mexican attitude toward death.  It is one of reverence and humor and, of course, the Day of the Dead is an occasion rich with traditions and beliefs.
