Artisans Market
There is a permanent artisans market in San Miguel that spans about four blocks with booths on either side and down the middle. Many of the vendors sell the same stuff, but occasionally you can find something unique.

Below is Senor Martinez. He has a unique shop where he sells masks, antique folk art, and his own paintings. I felt a kinship to him because of our mutual interest in masks. I also love his colors!

Below are funky glasses made from corn husks. They are made by Gary, from whom I rent studio space, and his wife, Jo Brenzo who is a photographer. They sell them in an artists' cooperative gallery and can not make enough of them!

To carry purchases, both locals and foreigners use these colorful, indestructible, and cheap plastic totes. They are available everywhere.

You can even get one with Frida pictured on it!
