Adventures in India.

We have encountered very friendly and welcoming people everywhere.  As we pass through towns and villages, adults and children wave with big smiles on their faces.  They also love for us to take their pictures!  And we have had a number of incredible experiences along the way.  One was a stop at a village of snake charmers.

The children in the village danced for us and Charlotte, my travel buddy, joined them - much to amusement of the villagers!

In the city palace in Delhi the guards graciously demonstrated how they wrapped their turbans from yards and yards of fabric!

Several times we've explored colorful markets and bazaars.

Except for the areas around national monuments and the fancy hotels, the cities, villages, and countrysides are dirty and filled with trash and litter.  There are efforts by the government to educated the people, but I suspect it is an up hill battle.

There are animals everywhere.  Cows freely roam in cities, along and across highways, and in markets.  There are also lots of goats wandering around as well as water buffalo.  I've only seen one elephant on the street so far, but lots of camels.

All for now - stayed tuned.
